The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) promotes African ancestry or origin dance and assists and expands opportunities for artists in advocacy, audience development, education, funding, networking, performance, philosophical dialogue, and touring.

The National Dance Project (NDP) has been set in place to provide a system of support for contemporary dance, by supporting the production and distribution of dance in the United States. Individuals may nominate projects to receive two types of NDP grants: NDP Production Grants and NDP Touring Grants.
