The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC)
The American Society of Cinematographers is a cultural, educational, and professional organization that was founded in Hollywood in 1919. Its main purpose was to advance the art and science of cinematography in order to bring cinematographers together to exchange ideas, discuss techniques and promote the motion picture as a form of Art.
ASC has Education & Outreach committee programs that provide free events for emerging filmmakers and industry professionals in an effort to promote a greater understanding of the cinematographer’s craft.
